SAKSHAM as a project was launched in 2019-2020 for capacity building in government school teachers.

The aim of Saksham is to build contextualized models for teaching and teacher training by incorporating technology.

The main focus of the project has been to enrich the learning experience of underprivileged children through the professional development of their teachers and educators.

Through this project teacher training programs were set up in volunteer Schools in the form of periodical training workshops in rural cluster areas or as an integrated part of the School’s training routine. This helps share and reach information and technology based methodologies to the remotest parts of the country.

Extensive research was carried out before designing these training projects for teachers based on criteria like needs assessment, understanding their goals and objectives and selecting topics accordingly. This was followed by training assessment and program evaluation.

The training techniques included icebreakers, brain storming, lectures, demonstrations, games, field trips, case studies, micro teaching and peer training.
The program has been successfully conducted in many villages and clusters helping teachers to become skilled giving students the best learning experience which is the end goal of Saksham.
